KORGANIZER
Subject: KOrganizer 0.9.x
added by: Preston Brown <preston.brown@yale.edu>
time: 10:21
KOrganizer is a PIM / Calendar / Scheduling tool for KDE (and hence X). It is different than other programs out there for Unix/Linux like ical or plan because it supports vCalendar, a flexible, open internet standard for exchanging calendar information (for instance, Lotus and Microsoft both support it in their products). For this reason, you can move to KOrganizer without losing your existing data.
Version 0.9.9 contains lots of bugfixes, dragging and resizing appointments works and the alarm daemon works and restarts itself properly now. Several new features have been implemented as well.

TIMEMAN
Subject: TimeMan 0.2
added by: Arne Morken <arne.morken@ii.uib.no>
time: 12:49
TimeMan is a time-manager/calendar/alarm/etc. program for Linux, a-la MS Schedule+. While alarms, meetings and recurring appointments are still not implemented, the current incarnation of TimeMan seems to be robust and perhaps even useful for some! The calendar along with calendar-navigation is working already and you may read/write tasks and appointments. Documentation will eventually appear (also for the API).
While alarms, meetings and recurring appointments are still not implemented, this new alpha of TimeMan seems to be robust and perhaps even useful for some people.
